Alan is a testifying expert who has consulted in the area of forensic accounting for over twenty years. With more than thirty years of experience in the energy industry, he has consulted on accounting issues in the areas of royalty calculation, net profits interests, plant accounting, joint operations, and cost-of-service calculations. His assignments have included matters related to the production, processing and/or transportation of oil, natural gas (and entrained liquids), carbon dioxide and geothermal resources located in multiple states, offshore, and Africa. Alan also provides services related to the economic evaluation of employment, injury, and life care plan claims. Alan has previously worked in the forensic and litigation support groups of two international public accounting firms and at an independent firm focused on economic, financial, and forensic consulting. Across a career that has encompassed three countries, Alan has gained experience in multiple industries including financial services, manufacturing, and environmental consulting.
Alan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds the ACA (similar to CPA) and Business and Finance Professional qualifications.
